Since 2014, we have been providing space for artists, musicians, writers, film-makers, performers and art enthusiasts from the Asheville area to gather and collaborate. We host events that promote and support artists in our local community. We inhabit an historic building just west of Asheville on Hominy Creek.
Our mission is to foster inspiration and activation through education, resource sharing, and focusing on creative, bio-regionally appropriate solutions to living lightly on the earth.
ACKNOWLEDGING THE SACRED
We strive to steward the lands we live on through employing environmentally friendly techniques wherever possible, including conservation of resources, living lightly on the land, and leaving no trace.
We respect ourselves, others, and the space around us. We treat each other with fairness and open-mindedness. Through our harmonious interactions we become the change we wish to see in the world.
We facilitate growth and self-expression through active learning and skill-sharing. We are invested in the personal development of each individual who comes to our center.
COMMUNITY + TRIBE
All of us has our own role to play, and when we work collectively, we can accomplish so much! Through active teamwork and social responsibility, we foster creativity, a sense of belonging, and an understanding of collective impact.
By providing a consciously collaborative environment, and supporting the visions of our artists, we help to inspire self-discover and self-realization.
At the core of every community is trust. We strive to be transparent with ourselves, and to each other. We interact in a space of responsibility, accountability, and commitment.
We want this to be a safe space for all. We maintain our center as a stable space of health and nurturing. We ask for tolerance, open-mindedness, and respect in all interactions that take place.
